Knight of the Year – Al Ferrigno

The evaluation for Knight of the Year is based on a Knight’s involvement within the Council, the Knight’s involvement within the Parish, and the Knight’s involvement within the Community. This year the council officers felt that a particular Knight has made significant contributions to the parish and the parish community.

The 2025-’26 Knight of the Year is Brother Al Ferrigno. Al made a significant contribution to the Parish by fabricating the Stations of the Cross for the Church Prayer Garden. Al leads the Parish Trivia and the new Bingo social activities. Al is also an active supporter of the Special Olympics organization.

Family of the Year – Jim and Beth Meyd

The 2025-’26 Family of the Year is Jim and Beth Meyd.  Jim currently leads the Good of the Order Committee and the Exemplification Degree Team. Also, Jim leads the Parish Christmas Party Committee and is the council lead for the STM Food Pantry Leadership Team.

Jim and Beth sponsor a Council Cardinal Mooney scholarship. Jim & Beth are Parish Hospitality Ministers. Beth has been the leader of the STM Prayer Shawl ministry, which provides prayer shawls to anyone in need. Beth is also a volunteer at the parish office, filling in as needed.

Jim & Beth participate in prayer walks and attend pregnancy center fundraisers in support of the right to life. Their efforts with the food pantry, the prayer shawl ministry, the scholarship fund, council fundraising events, and the right to life ministry have been well noted.

August Knight of the Month – Rob Carver

Rob has been selected as the August Knight of the Month. Rob attends every council meeting. Rob supports meeting preparations and is a member of the exemplification team. Rob is a church minister and sponsors the Cervicos Dominican Republic Mission.

August Family of the Month – John and Lucy Koitsch

John and Lucy have been selected as the August Family of the Month. John attends nearly all council meetings and acts as the council photographer. Thanks to John, our monthly council newsletter always includes nice pictures of the council’s events. John and Lucy are the Parish Sacristans dedicating many hour’s to serving the parish. John and Lucy support the council altar server of the year award. Many brother Knights and their wives volunteer as parish mass ministers. Lucy schedules the mass support ministers.
